Description

World Class Training

Egnatia Aviation was founded in 2006.  We are an EASA approved Flight Training Organisation and have trained more than 1.200 pilots from more than 57 countries since 2006.  More than 65% of those students are international.  Our pilots now work for companies such as Qatar Airways, Air Arabia, Royal Air Maroc, Easyjet, BMI, Aegean Airlines, Wizzair, Air Malta, Kuwait Airways, Gulf Air, Oman Air, Iraqi Airways, Rayanair etc.  We are happy to say that 91% of our students have found work within a year from graduation.

Initially a UK based school we moved to Greece for a variety of reasons with the most important being of course, the weather.  Other reasons have been the lesser overall costs, which gives us the ability to keep our prices very competitive without compromising the quality of our training and the ability to operate at an international airport offering the complete training in Europe.  South Europe offers a climate ideal for pilot training and we are proud to say we are one of the biggest schools in Europe.  With more than 14.000 hrs flying time in 2015, not only have we flown more than the rest of all general aviation in Greece, but that makes us one of the larger flight schools in Europe.

Flying from an international airport

The school is based at Kavala International Airport “Megas Alexandros”.  Apart from the obvious benefits of training in an international airport, “Megas Alexandros” has a sunny Mediterranean and southern continental climate to offer.  It is also one of the best equipped international airports in the southern of Europe with three additional international airports in less than 70nm distance, which are all essential for training purposes.

International recognition and partnerships

Egnatia Aviation’s partnership with Qatar Aeronautical College for the training of pilots of Qatar Airways, has rewarded our efforts and has contributed to our further development.
The cooperation to provide the Air Arabia MPL Flight Training Phase (CORE) for their cadets strengthened Egnatia Aviation’s training position and we are currently considered by other airlines for their training needs.  The number of self-sponsored students has also doubled since last year.
Egnatia Aviation is an active member of International Associations of Aviation Committees, with other Training Organisations and Airlines, the purpose of which is to improve safety and optimize flight training standards and methods.

Most Modern Fleet

We take great pride in our fleet.  We have the privilege to operate one of the biggest fleet of NEW Diamond aircrafts in Europe, consisting of 11 aircrafts:
-    5 DV20 Katana
-    3 DA40 NG
-    2 DA42 NG
-    1 AERO AT-3

Our oldest plane is less than 6 years old.  We train under the best weather conditions to the highest training standards possible.  Our EASA approved Maintenance Organisation assures the highest safety standards and the best aircraft condition.

State of the art facilities

The school’s recently renovated facilities occupy 1.000 m2, which include ATPL classrooms with interactive whiteboards, Flight Operations department, multiple briefing rooms, a state of the art FNPT II ALSIM ALX simulator and student resting and study areas.
Our newly opened Theory Training Center in Kavala further increases our ability to accept more students.
