Operational Realignment
The Swiss Helicopter Group, uniting under one roof the seven established helicopter companies Air Grischa, Bohag, Eliticino, Heli Gotthard, Heliswiss, Rhein Helikopter and Heliswiss International (large helicopters), has in recent years successfully positioned itself in the domestic and international markets.
During the last months, the focus has been on the future direction of our group. Our objective is to create the ideal conditions to implement the coming challenges – in particular concerning the changes in European aviation law. The new international legislation forms the basis of our future national and international operational market development.
In order to meet the necessary requirements, the Board of Directors and Management of Swiss Helicopter Group have decided to merge the six existing operating companies into a single new operating company called "Swiss Helicopter AG". On account of its international focus and specialities, Heliswiss International will be integrated into Swiss Helicopter AG at a later date. All synergies will be utilized at once. The pooling of know-how and skills will strengthen the new company's structure without weakening existing, valued customer relationships or the existing companies' important close regional ties and connections.
The new operating company will launch its activities on 1 July 2012. All of your contact persons regarding the processing of quotation requests, bookings as well as the numerous local collaborations and cooperations will remain unchanged. The new organisation aims to build on proven and tested strengths. The use of synergies and knowledge transfer will allow us to improve and expand the services we offer to our customers and partners.
All bases will continue to operate within the existing framework and corporate appearance. The existing legal companies with their unchanged Boards of Directors remain the owners of the respective bases. These existing companies are the new owners of Swiss Helicopter AG. Members of staff will remain at their respective locations as employees of Swiss Helicopter AG. Helicopters and flight operating equipment will also be transferred to Swiss Helicopter AG.
With 40 modern helicopters stationed at 14 bases throughout Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein, we offer proximity, maximum availability and the ability to carry out a wide range of assignments. Together with our over 220 dedicated members of staff – all professionals in their fields – we aim to use our combined strengths to continue to take off and fly high for you.
We place great emphasis in informing you personally about this development. In the last years, your contribution in enabling us to become a well-established company has been significant.
Many thanks for your loyalty and excellent cooperation. We look forward to continue to be of service to you under our new company name – Swiss Helicopter AG.
With our best regards
Swiss Helicopter AG
